ILA Strike Watch 2013: Strike Averted, But There’s Work to be Done!

The International Longshoremen’s Association (ILA) Strike that was scheduled for Wednesday has been averted.

Late Friday night, a tentative agreement between the ILA and the United States Maritime Alliance (USMX) was announced that would prevent port stoppages all along the East and Gulf Coast ports of the U.S.

Antidumping Preliminary Determination Date Extended

The Coalition for Fair Trade of Hardwood Plywood (CFTHP) has formally requested that the U.S. Department of Commerce extend its deadline for the preliminary determination in the ongoing antidumping investigation of hardwood and decorative plywood from China.
